Act I - “Chaos”

The first act lays out a bedrock of tone, detailing an intense and almost overwhelming assault on the senses.

Classical images of justice, accompanied by macro lens closeups of documents and real case work by IJM & local police, flash by the viewer.

The textural choices and monotone palette are made to be reminiscent of a local precinct, or a ‘case room’ - where IJM’s bootwork has happened.

Act II - “Humanity”

Humanity, is where we we draw an aerial view, and our host, (the talented) Elijah Williams - steps out into context.

The previous sequence now revealed - IJM’s place in the history of humanitarian work noted and spread over the ages - a modern addition to the world’s great effort to end injustice.

A modern arm of an ancient struggle.

The departure from monotone signifies Elijah’s icon as the ‘modern’ IJM; a true celebration of all that has been achieved, but prophetic of what is still do be done.

Act III - “Order”

The stage is poised - ‘where to from here?’

Artistically, The goal of this entire act was ‘to visually imbue a sense of brand confidence in the audience’ - building upon the proven casework and solidifying that trust.

This was achieved via the ‘dots’ - our ACT I half-tone motif, was now re-appropriated, within a digital context, as pixels. The ‘plans’ were idealized as minimalistic futurism. Light & dark - a return to our initial palette, flipped.

The past, informs our future.

We were able to convey hundreds of documents of broad information into a digestible format, for the audience to understand quickly and concisively.

Act IV - “UNTIL ALL.”

Our host stands in the ‘unknown’ (also known as a dark room) a realm between the reality and the possible - surrounded by sheets of reflective glass and and endless montage of case work video.

The audience is invited to reflect with him on the inchoate future within reach. The ‘potential’ around him echoes sonically and visually.

Artistically, we stand at the crescendo, (and an ambitious CTA) as behind our monologue, the campaign mantra is pulled into view by a slow camera pullback - the font echoed on glass all around, as our host - takes his absence.

“Until All Are Free.”
